বরগুনার পাথরঘাটা, বরগুনা: কোস্ট গার্ডের一声 অভিযানের ফলে দুইটি অবৈধ আর্টিসানাল ট্রলিং বোটের জব্দে ২১ জন আটক করা হয়েছে। sub‑lieutenant commander Sabbir Alam, who is the media officer of the coast guard, said that the operation began on the evening of 30 October 2026, based on secret information received by the Patharghata station.
The coast guard team, acting on the intelligence, identified two suspected trawling vessels operating near the Nilima point of the Visakhal River in the Patharghata upazila. After a coordinated raid, the boats were seized along with their equipment. In the boats, investigators found roughly 17 fish nets, four seines, two derics and four trawlers. The 21 individuals detained were residents of various districts and were taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
The seized vessels, nets, trawling gear and the arrested persons have been handed over to the Patharghata police station for action in accordance with the relevant laws. Officials added that such operations will continue in the future to safeguard the nation’s fish stocks and protect the marine ecosystem.
